A short stroll across the road and your toes will be touching the golden sand of Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island’s largest bay. A huge assortment of watercraft is available for hire, or you can head off on a sailing, fishing or kayaking trip.
Just a two minute walk from your apartment door, you will find an array of restaurants and cafes, a convenience store, pub and bottle shop. Enjoy a quiet drink in one of the bars, or relax for the afternoon and listen to some live music.
Families are well catered for, with playground facilities for the kids and sheltered picnic grounds.
Magnetic Island – picturesque natural beauty just 8kms from Townsville Magnetic Island is a 52sq km tropical paradise of sandy bays fringed by tropical reefs, towering pines and massive granite boulders. The most picturesque parts of the island can be explored via its 36kms of walking trails, that wind between stunning bays, golden sands, and beautiful mountain peaks.
Known for its abundant wildlife, keep a look out for koalas, possums and rock wallabies as you wind through the trails. Swim in the secluded sandy bays, and snorkel the fringing reef amongst tropical fish, turtles and the occasional dolphin.
Play a round of golf on the golf course, fish from the old jetty at Picnic Bay, or explore the wrecked City Of Adelaide in Cockle Bay. Explore the Marine National Park of Geoffrey Bay at low tide, and feed the rock wallabies at dusk from the old barge jetty.

Passenger Ferry

Ferry Barge

Local Bus Service
The local bus service runs daily from all major bays and meets every ferry. For a few $, the bus will deliver you to Horseshoe Bay in 10 minutes. Resort is 150 metre walk. Visit www.sunbus.com.au for further details.
